Jaytech Design’s single and two-stage crossflow wine filters are fully modular and can be configured for filtration flowrates ranging from R&D pilot plant to high-volume winery scale.
Our systems are based on the use of vertically oriented spiral microfiltration membranes that offer a high active membrane area combined with a special spacer design that eliminates clogging.
Spiral membranes are very cost effective and robust as compared to hollow fiber membranes. All of our microfiltration membranes are suitable for high temperature sanitation and are stable over a very wide pH range.
Jaytech Design single and two stage systems include:
Stainless steel self contained skid housing the following components:
Stainless steel feed and recirculation tanks equipped with level transmitters and inlet flow control valves.
Sanitary stainless steel rapid recirculation pumps.
6.3” or 8.0” spiral microfiltration membranes housed in stainless steel vessels.
Interconnecting stainless steel pipework.
Tubular heat exchangers for temperature control of recirculating wine.
Pressure, flow and sediment bleed control valves.
Patented critically balanced inert gas flush and “tank blanket” system.
Pressure and flow measuring instrumentation.
Customizable levels of system control and automation via Programmable Logic Controllers and touch screen HMI.
Jaytech Design wine filters are designed to be:
Scaleable, use less water, eliminate the need for diatomaceous earth and minimize oxygen contact.
Our patented inert gas flush and “tank blanket” system ensures that the wine is always in a protected environment.
The use of custom designed vertical spirals allows for the addition of a second stacked membrane module per housing, making it possible to double the throughput of a small system within the existing system footprint, and without the need for additional pumps.
Our systems can be easily adapted for Lees Filtration.
