Fruit and vegetable processors and packers use large volumes of water for both cleaning the produce and for transporting it around the facility by means of flumes.

Both the soil level and the microbial counts build up in the water making it necessary to discard and replace the it or to subject it to some form of filtration and partial or full sterilization.

Jaytech systems for process water reuse are based on crossflow membrane filtration and can be followed by in-line ultraviolet sterilization.

Our microfiltration system is very efficient at removing soil particles, bacteria, bacterial spores, molds and yeast. It does not remove dissolved minerals and some organic compounds. It is a low pressure system typically operating at pumping pressures between 15 and 25 psi. Mcrofiltration generates water that is clear enough to be sterilized in line by ultra violet light.

Clean water yield is in the range 85 - 95% depending on incoming soil level.

Jaytech Design water filters are designed to be:

Scaleable, and easily expanded by means of add-on modules.

Our membranes have special parallel spacers that eliminate the problems of clogging due to soil buildup.

The use of custom designed vertical spirals allows for the addition of a second stacked membrane module per housing, making it possible to double the throughput of a system within the existing system footprint, and without the need for additional pumps.
